Murray Craft Builders worked with the design team and clients to create a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of city life, offering a serene space to unwind and connect with nature. The project included a stunning sunroom addition and a sprawling deck that spans the back of the home, perfectly framing breathtaking lake views. To make the outdoor experience even more special, a standalone barrel sauna and a whimsical treehouse deck net were added, creating a space where both adults and kids can relax and play.

The sunroom is a true centerpiece, featuring six skylights and expansive windows that bathe the space in natural light. A simple yet elegant shiplap ceiling adds to its cozy, family-centered charm. New white oak flooring flows seamlessly throughout, enhancing the home’s bright and airy feel. In the kitchen, custom white oak cabinetry pairs beautifully with classic Carrara Gold countertops and backsplash, while polished nickel fixtures and hardware add timeless sophistication.

The primary bathroom is a haven of luxury, with Ann Sacks terrazzo flooring and classic white subway tile showcasing the standalone bath tub and custom shower enclosure. The Vola towel warmer, Brass Waterworks plumbing fixtures, antique lighting, and a custom white oak double vanity complete the space with elegance and functionality. Meanwhile, the downstairs bathroom takes on a soothing ambiance with an earthy blue-green toned Fireclay tile, a custom dark walnut vanity, and Waterworks polished nickel fixtures. Allied Maker sconces flank a unique Future Perfect walnut wood mirror.

For added practicality, the new entryway features custom millwork, providing ample storage for this busy family. The laundry nook combines style and utility with playful Popham Design tile flooring and additional custom millwork. From the light-filled interiors to thoughtfully crafted outdoor spaces, this upstate retreat offers the perfect balance of relaxation, style, and family-focused design.
