58th Street Penthouse Remodel

Set atop the historic Alwyn Court building, a New York City Landmark listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Murray Craft Builders worked with the design team to create a gallery-like space for the homeowners to show off their incredible art collection. The complex lighting plan mimics that of a museum with layers of lighting options to highlight various mediums of art. Simple Florim Stonetech porcelain tile flooring provides a durable option to marble. The Japandi-inspired bathroom features a standalone bathtub with a backdrop of wood paneling. A custom vanity and Vola towel warmer add to the luxurious spa-like feeling of the primary bathroom emphasized by the streaming daylight from the existing skylight. Schumacher wallpaper along one wall of the primary bedroom adds a bold punch to the simple yet sophisticated space. The Poggenhpohl kitchen and custom radiator add to the understated elegance of the design.
